Name and age of baby:

Freya, seven months old.

Where did you test the pushchair?

We put the Leclerc Influencer stroller to test on the pavements of local towns, gravel paths and grass/park areas of Warwickshire.

First Impressions:

When unboxing the Influencer stroller, it’s pretty much assembled already so you immediately see how great it looks, how compact it is, as well as how good the fold/unfold function is. We couldn’t wait to go out for our first test drive!

Alongside the stroller itself, Leclerc include a rain cover, cup holder, bumper bar and a travel bag for the stroller – so you are pretty much set to go right away with these essential accessories.

How easy is it to push and use?

The stroller itself weighs in at about 6.6kg so it’s really lightweight. With that said, it still felt grounded and sturdy – not flimsy at all.

Pushing the Influencer is great; it manoeuvres well – so going up and down steps or kerbs wasn’t an issue. I was able to push it one-handed when needed and I still felt in control of the stroller.

It’s quite intuitive too; making adjustments to elements such as the recline or harness are all really straightforward.

What is the seat unit like?

The padded seat unit is a good size and it has three height settings for the harness. So as your little one gets older, you can easily adjust it to meet their growing needs. Freya had plenty of room in the seat and we had the harness on the lowest setting for her; the seat will take up to 22kg in weight so there are many years of use ahead.

There are three different seat positions, including one that has a decent recline (not lie-flat) and we were quite happy with the choices.

The colour of our seat unit (and hood) was a lovely Army Green which looks great and quite classic, and I also understand Leclerc offer the Influencer in four other colour ways.

The leatherette bumper matches the handle bar, this adds to the great appearance whilst also being useful to secure toys in place!

How easy is it to fold and carry?

Leclerc describe the fold as ‘one touch auto-folding’ and we absolutely found this to be the case! A slide of the button on the handle bar and the stroller then collapses neatly. There is also a carry handle built into the seat unit so you can easily pick it up and carry it. The travel bag that comes with the stroller is really useful at keeping the stroller and the accessories together, as well as carrying it from A to B when you don’t need to use it in that moment!

The unfold is just as easy and because it is so lightweight, I was able to do this one handed at times too.

How compact is it when folded?

The Influencer is super compact when folded, measuring (H) 56cm x (W) 47cm x (D) 24cm. We were left with ample boot space in the car and when we had the stroller inside our house, it didn’t feel like it was in the way at all.

Is the handle height-adjustable?

The height of the handle bar isn’t adjustable, however the set height suited me at 5’5”.

The handle bar itself is a lovely leatherette, so it both looks and feels great.

What is the harness like?

We loved the harness! It’s five-point and magnetic so it secures in place so easily and quickly. This was our first experience of a magnetic harness and my preconceptions included concerns of how secure they were, but I needn’t of worried!

What is the hood like? Is it extendable?

The hood is really great! It has a fold away extension on the front as well as a larger extension which unzips from the middle compartment of the hood. This is mesh and we liked the fact that you could see your little one all the time when using this function (especially since the stroller is world facing) and that it was breathable too. There is also a peekaboo mesh window on the back of the hood to use when you have the hood in its standard setting.

The hood provides good shade coverage and is SPF 50+.

What did you think of the wheels? Are they swivel?

For a stroller we found the wheels to be pretty good! They are polyurethane so super durable and there is suspension in all four wheels. The front two swivel, and whilst they are small they hold up well on grass.

On pavements, indoor spaces and other smooth surfaces the Influencer glides around wonderfully.

Is the basket easy to reach and does it have enough storage space?

The basket is a good size and will take up to 3kg in weight. We found it useful for popping any bits in from the shops, keeping the rain cover in when it was a bit over cast, and just general bits and bobs. Our changing bag is too large for the basket but I think smaller bags would fit in okay. For a stroller we didn’t expect anything bigger so really it met our expectations.

How easy are the brakes to use?

The brake is accessed easily in the middle of the rear wheels so the position of it is perfect. The brake itself feels in proportion to the rest of the stroller, whilst also securing it in place when in use.

What we love:

Without doubt the fold/unfold is amazing, we also love the ease of the manoeuvrability.

What could be improved:

I do wonder if taller people would find the handle height a little low, however I am aware that most strollers have a fixed height handle, so this really would be the norm.

Would you recommend it to a friend and is it worth the money?

We would recommend the Leclerc Influencer stroller to family and friends. Whilst the price point is probably on the higher end of the stroller scale, we think it’s worth it. It feels durable, is good quality, has longevity, it looks great and those extra touches make it all worth the price.
